Geometric Explorations
How many dots and lines does it take to communicate the idea of a bear? How simple can I make it? My problem-solver puzzle brain got really excited after sketching this little guy, so I kept going. Once I had created a basic set of rules it was all about finding ways to stray from them.
These were done on 6x6 paper, in watercolor with tiny brushes. I played with how much I controlled the color and how much I just let it happen.
The originals are up on the walls and for sale at Black Wagon, 3964 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR. I'll be posting prints soon.
